Designer Life is proud to be a Workforce Australia Employment and Skills Services Provider.

What is Workforce Australia?

Workforce Australia is the employment service delivered by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, designed to help Australians find work, change jobs, or create their own employment opportunities. Designer Life is proud to be part of a network of providers who will deliver personalised support to Job Seekers.

Job Seekers who are preparing for work, and would like, or who need, personalised support to find work, will be referred to a Workforce Australia Employment Service Provider, such as Designer Life. These services are available to Job Seekers who receive income support payments from Services Australia.

How will Workforce Australia Services
help me find a job?

Once you are registered with Designer Life as your Workforce Australia Employment Services provider, you will be required to attend an initial face-to-face meeting with your Career Coach. This meeting is designed to help us determine what support we can provide for you and how we can be of most assistance in your search for employment.

You will work with your Career Coach to develop a personalised plan based on your current skills, interests and experience. They will then help you to develop your proficiency in resume writing, communication and problem solving, and teach you how to perform well in job interviews. As a Workforce Australia Employment Services provider, Designer Life creates job opportunities for participants through our connections with local employers who are looking for workers.

Through pre-employment training, hands-on group activities, and work placement opportunities, participants will learn practical skills to assist them in entering the workforce.

Transitioning to Workforce Australia

If you are a Job Seeker who is currently registered as a Designer Life Participant, you will receive a phone call from us that will inform you of any changes to your services. You may also receive a letter from the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations that outlines any changes relating to employment services in your local area.

If you are not currently registered as a Designer Life Participant, depending on your location, you may be automatically transferred from your previous employment services provider to Designer Life. This is part of the transition to Workforce Australia, which has changed the way that employment providers operate in each region of Queensland.

With lots of changes happening, we want you to know that Designer Life is here to support you in any way that we can.  Please make sure that you let us know if you would like more information, we are happy to help!
