Our Vision

Designer Life is committed to enabling all participants to succeed in making a better life for themselves. Our services are centred on the person, their strengths and aspirations. Our NDIS services are designed to enable disabled people and their families to have more choice and control over their lives and the support they receive.

We are committed to equitable opportunities in mainstream employment and training. Our staff will walk beside you to find employment opportunities and inclusive training services. Our vision doesn’t stop there. By expanding our NDIS services, we can now offer Support Coordination as well as Assistance with Social and Economic Participation. We can work with our participants and the community to create group activities and support access to mainstream activities. Our aim is to support individuals in becoming independent, self-supporting members of society. We believe in the importance of reliable, ongoing, and financially stable employment, alongside personalised support that builds skills, confidence, and independence.

Why Designer Life?

Because we're here for you!

Whether you're looking to gain skills, find meaningful work, or take a new path, we’re ready to support you with personalised training, practical opportunities, and a team that genuinely cares. At Designer Life, we believe everyone deserves the chance to build a brighter future—and we’re here to help make that happen.

What We Do

Designer Life is a wholly Australian-owned and operated business with its head office in Brisbane. We provide accredited training, employment assistance, and NDIS services to participants across Queensland.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), our experienced trainers deliver nationally recognised training alongside practical, outcomes-focused support.

As a registered NDIS provider, we offer tailored NDIS services including:

  • Support Coordination
  • Finding and Keeping a Job
  • School Leaver Supports, support to move from school into employment or further learning.
  • Assistance with Daily Living – designed to empower you to explore living options.
  • Social and Community Participation – including support to access mainstream services.
  • Choice and Control – We provide self-management and plan management capacity building so you can take control of your plan.
  • Improved Daily Living: Life skills travel training, social skills to participate in activities and build confidence to achieve your goals.

Our experienced Career Coaches provide personalised, one-on-one support to prepare job seekers for meaningful employment. We work closely with local employers to meet recruitment needs and create genuine job opportunities through work placements.

At our Caboolture Career Centre, we’ve established our own café—a vibrant training and community space. In partnership with the Better Together organisation, we regularly run hospitality classes where students gain hands-on experience in a real café environment, preparing them for work in the hospitality industry.

As we grow our NDIS services, we’re focused on offering new and meaningful opportunities to communities across Queensland. Our success is powered by an incredible team who share a deep commitment to training and a strong motivation to help participants become confident, independent, and self-supporting members of the community.

About our CEO

Leisa Roberts is the founding owner and CEO of Designer Life. In 2001, she launched the business to provide training and employment support for people seeking a better future—to help them design a better life.

With over 25 years of experience in community services, counselling, and employment, Leisa has built Designer Life into a leading Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider in Queensland. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Designer Life delivers nationally recognised training and practical, outcomes-focused support.

Under Leisa’s leadership, Designer Life has expanded its NDIS services. Alongside employment supports, we now offer Support Coordination and other personalised services that help participants build skills and independence. Our approach is simple: one-on-one, tailored support that meets each person’s unique needs.

Driven by a strong belief in social equity and lifelong learning, Leisa has made a lasting impact in remote and disadvantaged communities. Her proven track record reflects her commitment to helping people overcome barriers and achieve meaningful, sustainable employment.
