Congratulations Craig!

After 35 years in construction and cabinet making, and recently serving as a full-time carer for a close friend, Craig discovered his interest in quality care and the profound impact it can have on individuals. Recognising how well-suited he is for the field, he set out to build a meaningful career in community services.

To support this transition, Craig joined the Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Program at the Aitkenvale Career Centre, where he updated his digital skills, gained confidence with technology, and explored local job opportunities. With guidance from his Facilitator, Clynt, he refined his job search approach and connected with local employers.

Craig secured an interview that led to a job offer, his host employer immediately recognising him as ‘an individual they wanted on their team’. Now, he’s focused on obtaining formal qualifications, enhancing his online presence, and building a rewarding future in community services.

Congratulations, Craig! Your dedication to aligning your career with your values is truly inspiring.

The Workforce Australia CTA program is available for job seekers aged 45 and over who want to build their skills and confidence for today’s job market.
