Kim providing Care!
Kim began the Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Program at the Woodridge Career Centre with a strong background in early childhood education and ready to explore new career opportunities.
During the program, Kim stepped into a temporary role as an acting Director at a not-for-profit childcare centre supporting children at risk. This role not only provided invaluable experience but also helped Kim discover her key strengths and long-term career goals. Kim soon realised that her transferrable skills related to community services and youth work. She finished the program proud of the resume she built herself—one that truly reflects her strengths and supports her transition into a new career.
Kim was proud to share with us that “The benefit of taking a risk and doing the CTA (program) is you are building your confidence, you are building new skills, you are connecting with people and your trainer and getting the extra support if you need it and there is no judgement.”
The CTA Program supports mature-aged job seekers (aged 45 and over) to build their confidence, develop digital skills, identify transferable experience, and explore new career pathways. We're so proud of Kim's journey and can't wait to see where her career takes her next!
