NDIS Services - Supporting Brighter Futures!
What is SLES?
School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) is an NDIS-funded program designed to help young people transition from school into the workforce. It gives you the chance to build skills, explore real work activities, or work with a Disability Employment Service Provider to find a job that suits you.
Whether you have SLES funding or support through Finding and Keeping a Job, if you're in Year 11 or 12 and need help transitioning to work or further education — this is for you!
Is Employment Your Goal?
If your NDIS plan includes an employment goal, you may be eligible for supports under the Employment Assistance category. This includes help with:
-
Gaining independence and life skills
-
Preparing for work
-
Connecting with a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider
-
Finding and keeping the right job
NDIS participants who experience challenges in learning, communication, or self-management often benefit from SLES supports. If this sounds like you—and you have SLES funding—we can continue to deliver those supports under Employment Assistance.
Designed With You, For You!
Your SLES plan can include:
- Building essential skills for independence and work e.g. travel training, money and time management
- Exploring work preferences through trying and testing employment - we call this discovery
- Developing work skills in an employment setting
- Working in partnerships with a Disability Employment Service Provider to connect employers
- Working with you and employers to customise a job, assist you to learn your new role and feel connected in the workplace
- Setting up long-term support needs in the workplace

PLUS!
The NDIS can fund this support for up to two years, with the possibility of additional help if you're making progress toward finding a job. When you're ready, our team can work with you to make a plan that supports your career or study goals and offers personalised advice that fits you.
When you're ready, we can help you find a job that suits you, meet with employers, and get started at work. We're also here to support you on the job — whether that means travelling with you on public transport, being there on your first days, or staying with you until you feel confident on your own.

Navigating your NDIS plan is easier with the right support
If you don’t have an NDIS plan yet and want support with the application process, we’re here to help every step of the way.
