Foundation Skills For Your Future

For Individuals

The Foundation Skills For Your Future program offers training that is designed to build:

  • Written & oral communications skills
  • Reading skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Digital skills

Under this program, Designer Life can provide free, flexible training options to support your language, literacy, numeracy and digital learning needs up to a Certificate II Level. Individuals may receive free training if the following criteria are met:

  • They are an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
  • They are aged 15 years or over;
  • They have left secondary school education;
  • They are currently employed or recently unemployed (within nine months);
  • They are not registered with an Australian Government employment service provider.

For Employers

Employers, seeking to improve the language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills of their workforce can access free training through Designer Life. By working with Australian Government service providers, tailored training can be developed that is suitable for their workplace.

To be eligible, your employees must meet the following criteria:

  • They are an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
  • They are aged 15 years or over;
  • They have left secondary school education;
  • They are currently employed or recently unemployed (within nine months);
  • They are not registered with an Australian Government employment service provider.
