Roberto is Taking Control!

Roberto commenced the Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Program at the Sunnybank Career Centre, with many years of experience in manufacturing under his belt.

Having recently overcome health obstacles, Roberto was eager to join the program and explore career pathways that would suit him and his interests. Having a broad background in the workforce, Roberto shared with his CTA Facilitator his goal of finding long-term employment.

His Facilitator helped him discover his key strengths, and how to use his transferable skills to set new career goals in areas such as security, traffic control and professional driving. Roberto mentioned that his key achievements after successfully completing the program were his improved resume, confidence, and the possibility of commencing a traffic control course through TAFE QLD ‘Back to Work’ program.

Roberto shared with us that, 'The course was a lot more useful than I originally though it would be and more fun too. I would advise anyone to give it a go because you might be surprised and find, like me, there is more to it than you think!'.

We wish you all the best on your journey, Roberto!
